Eksim Energy Announces New Investment Targets

Eksim Energy CEO Arkın Akbay talked about investment projections until 2029 and said, “Our 570 MWe investment, which is under construction and will be commissioned in 2024-2025, continues. We aim to implement the projects we will develop between 2026 and 2029 by completing the permit, license and license processes. “We are rapidly moving towards becoming one of Turkey's largest renewable energy producers.” he said.
Eksim Energy, which operates in the field of 100% renewable energy including wind, solar, hydroelectric and alternative sources, continues to expand its targets. Arkın Akbay, CEO of Eksim Energy, whose total renewable energy portfolio size has reached 2327 MW, talked about the investments to be made in the near future. Pointing out that most of the renewable energy projects planned for the future will be in Turkey, Akbay also said that they are building hybrid photovoltaic solar power plants to increase the total capacity of existing wind power plants.
Invest in every region of Turkey
Stating that Eksim Energy is one of the leading companies in the tenders for wind and solar power plants within the scope of the renewable energy resource area (YEKA), Akbay continued as follows:
“Our 150 MWe solar power plant in Şanlıurfa Viranşehir is under construction. At the same time, we continue our 150 MWe wind projects in Karaman, Yozgat and Bingöl. We are working with all our strength to complete our permit processes and commission our facilities for our approximately 210 MWe wind energy and 60 MW hybrid PV capacity increase projects in our wind power plants. “Our project development activities continue abroad.”
Stating that Eksim Energy is growing in wind, hydroelectric and solar energy, Akbay said, "We are rapidly moving towards becoming one of Turkey's largest renewable energy producers and increasing our contribution to reducing carbon emissions, with our projects under construction and whose permit processes will be completed." made his assessment.
“We have a high investment appetite”
Akbay pointed out that a certain standard should be established in the planning and construction processes of offshore wind power plant projects and said, "We want to emulate international practices and make them compatible with Turkey's conditions and values." he said.
Stating that renewable energy sources are important in the fight against climate change, that fossil-based energy production increases carbon emissions and that renewable transformation is no longer a trend but an inevitable reality, Akbay said, “We need to prevent the negative effects of climate change and increase measures. The danger of drought, inaccessibility to food and the greenhouse effect caused by increased carbon emissions are factors that will directly affect human health and welfare. To prevent this situation, we need to quickly implement renewable energy transformation. Everyone has a responsibility to restore balance to nature. We are ready to repay our duty. Capacity increases in existing facilities are the fastest production sources that can be put into operation. In this regard, we aim for new investments in our wind and solar facilities, whose quality has been proven for years, to the extent permitted by the transmission system and legislation. Thus, we will not only take precautions against climate change, but also contribute to the increase in welfare of our people by supporting the most economical energy production sources. For this reason, our investment appetite and motivation is very high.” made his statements.
